Over the 4th of July we did a road trip to LA for a dance competition that Darby was in at Disneyland. What an excuse to take a couple weeks and play. The trip down and back was a bit exhausting at times, but we made it in spite of cramped quarters, forest fires, crazy drivers, and way too many bathroom breaks...

TO CALI:
Head 'em up, Move 'em out, Rawhide.......... trying to be on our way......
First famous landmark Crater Lake National Park. The mosquitoes were so bad at the entrance sign we didn't stay long. It was also very cold and smokey from through all of Oregon and most of California until we got to San Fransisco.
The road around the north side of the rim was closed because of still having too much snow and this was July 1st - darn that Global Warming

The deepest lake in the USA.

Next stop the Golden Gate - Also cold and very windy, no surprise.

Had to hit Lombard Street
Next stop Montery Bay
We were going to head south on Highway 1 through Big Sur and then to Morro Bay, but the roads were closed due to fires jsut south of Carmel so we headed inland to the 101.
The rest of the trip to LA was not too exciting other than fires in Santa Barbara
